Steven Klein -- Urban

Hey you out there! How are you today?
Today you will find out something about Steven Klein and his urban fashion photography.
He takes a lot of commercial photographs but also photographs for fashion magazines like Vogue.
Steven Klein's shots are disturbing, dark and depressing and many of them are taken in urban places like old houses, factories or basements.

Steven Klein also really seems to like Brad Pitt..He took a lot of photographs with him in different styles..sometimes it's even hard to recognize that it's Brad Pitt who is in the picture.

Steven Meisel -- Snapshots

Hey Guys!

Today I'm going to present you the total opposite of my last post (Annie Leibovitz), today I'm going to tell you something about Steven Meisel...the snapshot guy.

Steven Meisel is probably one of the most famous fashion photographers of all the time...if you know something about fashion photography you have heard of him.

People say he shows the natural beauty in his pictures:

He likes to work in black and white:

Meisel also says that he doesn't like more than one model in a picture..

Since 1988 Steven Meisel shot EVERY Vogue Italia Cover picture!

Fantasy -- Annie Leibovitz

Hey there!
Today I'm going to talk about FANTASY!
Probably the best example for a fashion-photographer who works with fantasy-themed photographs is Annie Leibovitz:

Annie Leibovitz is a famous photographer who is not just taking fashion-photographs.
For many years she worked at the music magazine "RollingStone".
She was the one who took the famous cover-picture of John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono just 5 hours before he died.

But let's talk about something happier then John Lennon's death.. let's talk about leibovitz' fashion-photographs!!
Annie Leibovitz takes almost all of her pictures in her fairytale style.
Her shoots look more like a picture out of a movie than a photograph:

Annie Leibovitz usually uses outdoor backgrounds for her pictures because they make it easier to create a mystic atmosphere which exists in all her pictures.

But she can even create her classic atmosphere in indoor pictures:
